Grief.....

I have not asked Jesus why He took my Sister. I haven't asked why she had to go so soon. I have not prayed that she is in Heaven. I am confidant Debbie is in Heaven. I pray that she knew how many people loved her. She was a shy person. I pray she knows how she touched people's lives and how many loved her. I pray she knows people think she is sweet, cool, nice, sweet, smart, beautiful, bright,...... And a woman of God. I know she is in Heaven, I just miss her so dang much, I feel like I'll never, ever be ok again.

I'm sorry for your pain Pam

I have a simple faith - I believe Jesus calls those he loves home to Him.

Ann has a quote she's posted a few times:

“Death is not extinguishing the light; it is only putting out the lamp because the dawn has come.”
― Rabindranath Tagore
I really believe that too.

Do you have anyone you can talk to ftf? You have a lot on your plate now, your elderly parents are depending on you, you are not in your home, you miss your pets, the stress of putting your sister's affairs in order, etc.
You can get lost in the shuffle and overwhelmed, but yet this is the time you need to have self care the most. Or take an hour to post here daily?

Raider I had one sibling my elder brother who died 9 years ago, if he was alive he would be 63. From my experience I would say that -- in time -- you will be ok but you will never be the same as you were before Deb died. And that's ok too.

(((Raider))))). Having lost a cherished sister five years ago, I know what Marcher13 said to be true. You will never, ever be the same but you will be okay.

I am so sorry for your profound loss and your pain.

I'm so sorry Pam. I lost my mother a few years ago. It does get better. But we are just never quite the same. It's ok to miss the heck out of her. I comfort myself knowing I have the memories, the experience, the shared laughs and love. She is never truly gone as long as I remember

(((((Pam))))) Can you talk to your pastor? It might be helpful for you. I know I needed bereavement counseling. It's not a long term thing, I only had the six sessions to get me through the worst of it.

Love from Lenina

Big hugs Pam.

I know how hard this is for you. I too lost a sibling 10years ago. My brother was only 30 and died in a tragic accident. I still miss him terribly, but as the years have passed I've come to realize that though it will never ever be okay that he left us so soon, I can be okay. And I am.

With a little time I hope you will be too.
