Hope everyone is well. Doctor being weird

Hi all

Sorry not been on in a while I have been keeping busy. Got my ultrasound done and no gal stones or change in the liver. Blood tests show the liver is improving and coming down the way.

Only a few issues
1. Itching all over ( doctor seems to think its change in weather)
2. Dark urine(doctor seems to think this is due to food)
3. After years of constipation I have diariah.

Has anyone had anything like this? I still think it is down to the liver but if bloods improving and no change to liver after ultrasound could it be the liver?

As know I am a nervous wreck at best of times but the above symptoms have worried me

Your doctor knows best in this case.

Try to believe him/her and just keep doing the right things for your body. No good comes from worry.

Sometimes it is good to get a second opinion. I think I would!

did doc check your kidneys? I'd get to another doc if you have nausea or any other symptom for a second opinion

Hi guys thanks for the reply.

I am trying to believe the doctor but surely there is something making this happen?

I have another doctor on Tuesday so will ask them. Does it sound like a kidney problem then? I hope not but will need to wait and see I guess

A 2nd Dr opinion is probably a good idea if you're worried!!

No harm in getting a second opinion if you're concerned Tambdy

Went to another doctor today, he wants a stool and urine sample but thinks a lot of it is down to aniexty. The pain on the right hand side is a concern but he got blood test last week although he might want a scan of the kidneys as that is the area it is in.

This might be a stupid question but my liver recently got tested and it is fine no change at all. Would this rule out Hepatorenal syndrome - This is one of the things that terrify me but between my cold feet, occasional brown urine and the right hand side pain and swelling i am terrified i have it. Any idea's?

We really can't give you medical advice here under our rules Tambdy.
Anything anyone could post here would be a monumental guess at best anyway.

I'd stay away from Dr Google...a real doctor is far more likely to discover any problems you might have.

If you've been to two Drs and they don;t seem especially worried I think you can afford to relax a little

Hi guys, bit of an update continuously back at the doctor. Struggling to urinate now, they did manage get a urine sample the other day and although it was orange it was clear nothing to suggest that i had kidney problems.

Still got terrible itching and now getting pains behind left and right rib, worried my body is failing and seem to be getting no where.

I would think if it was something serious they would have found it by now, or at least have an idea. Try not to worry overly about it. Focus on your recovery and let the doctors do what they do.

If two doctors don't seem worried I would try to relax. The body and mind are extremely powerful and sometimes real symptoms can manifest as a result of our worry. I know it is difficult but try to relax and not worry so much. I would guess that your physical symptoms should start to settle down as you quiet your mind.

Anxiety is an endless cycle. You ache because you are anxious, and you are anxious because you ache. The only way to break it is allowing yourself to trust the idea that you are safe, then maybe work on what caused that anxiety in the first place. Exercise and meditation work for me.

Blood tests done, urine test done, ct scan done and everything coming back fine. I just don't get it, there has to be a reason I am in pain and can't urinate.

Stress is a horrible thing. Stress causes a whole lot of issues, and if all your tests are normal, then I think you are ok.
