Hello I'm new to sober recovery!

Hello my name is Nick and I'm a recovering alcoholic and drug addict. I am so glad to have come across this forum. I'm looking forward to being able to get opinions and hear others experiences in recovery. On August 11th 2013 I decided to turn my life around and have been sober ever since. I seen the newcomers forum and thought I should introduce myself so here it is! Hoping to meet some nice people! Hello! :-P

Thanks everybody. You guys are already more awesome than I expected. Sit back relax and stay sober. You all can do it. I remember when I left the rehab center that I was at and I had to give a few words of wisdom. I told everybody that if I can do this so can they! Even when I said it I was so new to sobriety I thought to myself "can I do this?...and oh I can...no problem. If any of you are having trouble stopping have you first admitted you have a problem? I found quitting drinking and drugs to be easier once I knew that I can not have 1 drink. Us alcoholics cannot and will not even be able to moderately drink. My words if wisdom...do not pick up that first drink...because it's downhill from there. We can control our addictions ad long as we don't pick up. By the way I'm 24 so if any younger people have any questions have any questions about becoming sober in your 20s feel free to message me. If anyone wants to talk message me no matter what your age. You guys are awesome! You can do it!
