Welcome to join

I am new but noticed that there are currently 89 registered users on line and 270 guests. I am assuming I had been one of those guests over the past few months. If you are on the edge on if you should jump in on the conversation, I'd say do it. This has been one of the best decisions I have made in accepting my challenge of becoming sober. The feeling of community definitely helps. Just throwing it out there, I wish I did this earlier!

Totally, I second that! I was a guest off and on for a long time and finally joined this week. The sense of community and acceptance is so great- especially since we're all so hard on ourselves about our addiction(s).

I completely agree! I was a guest and then lurked for a little while. I'm so glad I joined, SR has literally saved me in my early recovery.

We're pretty laid back here
If people want to lurk for a while and read, that's fine - but posting is great too

This is a great community

I lurked for many months before joining and posting. In those first few months I needed to simply learn and absorb some collective wisdom and insight. Similar to the old saying about "taking the cotton out of your ears"...

This "lurking" was very important to me and has formed the basis of a solid approach to sobriety.
