Turning it around
Turning it around
It is almost 6 am here, and I just got back from the gym. Day 9 of sobriety. Feels good.
Vacation before Labor Day was a disaster. As in, drinking wine at 6 am at a beach house while everyone was asleep. Feels good to turn it around. I met with a personal trainer yesterday, and he asked what my main motivation was for getting in shape. I said, "My kids."
The same could be said for my sobriety. Thanks to everyone on this site. I joined awhile ago, and was much better in the past supporting newcomers as I had received so much support myself. My commitment going forward is to be there for others, as they have been there for me.
Take care of yourselves today good people, and thank god for SR.

Well that just made my day. Thanks!
Glad you slammed the breaks, turned your truck around and taking the road to sobriety. There are a fee bumps here and there on that road, but the view on your life is just awesome. Plus a few bumps won't stop you.
Keep trucking!
