So today makes 6 days sober. Feels good. It does.

Slept really good last night...Aside from the active dreams again...But they didn't really disrupt my sleep too much. Had one of those wretched drinking dreams though..

So in the past week...I've given my debit and credit cards away...But i have a daily $7 for coffee, etc...

That freaking AV thoughts started chirping this morning...*Hey how about we keep that $7, get another $7 tomorrow...And we can get a drink!

Just needed to come here and get that thought OUT. It's not going to be a reality. It's NOT going to happen.

I'm at work. I need to focus...But i needed to get that thought OUT of my head. Going to AA meeting at Noon...Just need to get through the next 3 hours.

You're doing really well FTW. When you get those AV thoughts, don't let them linger, make a deliberate effort to turn your thoughts somewhere else. Every time you're strong it gets that little bit easier.

Way to go on 6 days!

Just remember that the AV is NOT you. It is a part of you but it is not who you are.

The only thing that can make you drink is you and not it. Tell it to sod off!
