Hard Day
This is day 4 since I haven't had a drink. I typcally don't drink everyday, but in the last couple months I started drinking every other day which concerns me. I know I need to go to AA. I watch AA meetings on You Tube, Father Martin. I have a Life Recovery bible, an actual Bible. I see an addiction specialist, but my stubborn ass won't walk through the doors of AA.
I've been to between 80-90 meetings over the past 5 years. I know what I need to do, but I just don't do it. It's like being in an abusive relationship. I personally have never been in one, but I would imagine this it what it feels like. Knowing it's damaging, but can't stand the thought of living without it, so you go back for another chance only for it to ineveitable slap you in the face again.

Hi and welcome Lauren
It's scary to give up something that's been such a major part of our lives...but you'll find support here.
It's a scary leap into recovery - but you're not alone
In a few months you'll wonder what you ever saw in that jerk Alcohol

Welcome! Good for you for getting through Day 4.
I don't use AA myself, but if you believe it will help you, then go for it. You should do whatever it takes to get and stay sober.
