1st day
So today is day one of no drinking.i had my first drink by the time I was 11. Got drunk by 12. Always partied a lot in high school and college. I was always able to keep it restricted to the weekends until a couple of years ago. Went from drinking only on Fridays and Saturday to adding Sunday and then Thursday and then Wednesday. Before I knew it I started having troubled remembering a day when I didn't drink. Then the time of day started to get earlier and earlier. I was forgetting what happened the night before. I went from splitting a 12 pack to drinking one. Then from 12 to 18. I went from someone that was once in shape to gaining 80 lbs. My poor wife has had to put up with a lot of garbage. I have an appointment with a counselor on Wednesday start taking abusan tomorrow. We shall see.

That's exactly how my drinking progressed. I was older when I started, but ended up drinking 24/7 in the end. It's so good to be out of that terrible place. You can do this.
