Kind of agree with you there liss ~ "danger zone" is a good way to put it.
I mean, if you were on a diet, would you walk straight into a chocolate shop, or a bakery?
Why do we do this to ourselves?

I think it's OK to say we need to go somewhere else for lunch please, or just not go.

It took me a LONG time to feel comfortable walking into a pub. Really. It's only now at 16 months that it has stopped bothering me. And I still don't make plans to go to one...

If 'no' is hard to say, remember to text or call someone right away. You know you will always get the support you need love.

If we want change, we need to make changes I think
I would definitely avoid the Tavern for a fair while Liss.

The grocery store is dangerous for me as well. I've had to call my husband and sponsor in the parking lot of the store and confide in them that I was entertaining thoughts of drinking. Just doing that was a relief. I was able to share with them, talk it out and go on, urge free.

There are dangerous places everywhere...having good tools and a sober community to support me have made all the difference.

Rule of thumb is - stay clear of situations or people that bring up the fear of drinking,
'remember we deal with alcohol, cunning, baffling, powerful without help it is too much for us...'

I wish I'd had friends who cared enough to tell me the unvarnished truth Liss.
Looks like you have a lot of 24 carat friends

Yes for sure I'm fine with the truth. I'm just trying to be truthful and I know I shouldn't have gone. I'm all over the place. But I made it through the day sober and did two meetings today so that's a positive big time off to bed 24 carat friends love you xxxxx
