first night thanks
My first night back is almost over. I was violently ill for most of the day, but felt better enough by dinner time to eat some (Brooklyn-made!) ravioli and drink some sparkling waters. I know I'm in for kind of a rough, sweaty, itchy, toss-and-turn kind of night, but I'm thankful that things got a little better, not worse like it seemed like they were going to this morning.
I'm thankful that I have made myself a doctor's appointment for tomorrow, and that even if I wake up tired and still hurting (more than likely), I'll be free of the embarrassment that I won't have to GUESS how many drinks I had the night before or try to remember in what stupid place I stashed my backup booze. I even watched a full movie without passing out, which has been unheard of these days.
Thanks to everyone, and onward to day two.
