Quitting smoking Day 2- RAGE!

Boy am I irritable. I'm thankful I work at home and my screen bears the brunt of my withdrawal fueled fury.

To be honest It's been a bad day anyway, but not smoking has turned a stressful time into pretty much the angriest I've ever been without anybody physically attacking me.

At the same time I'm fighting alcohol cravings and dieting (I start work as a part time swimming teacher in a few weeks and I have fitness tests to prepare for).

I've heard Day 3 is the worst..... wish me luck.

Wow you're doing a lot at once! I tried to diet when I quit smoking-it was too difficult! I must say though-I haven't smoked in 2 years and never intend on doing again! Be kind to yourself xxx

I would also like to thank some people.

My cousin Danny for handing me my first cigarette.
Bob Dylan for making it look cool.
Dylan Moran for making it funny.
My flatmate for leaving rolling material within eyeshot and telling me to "help myself" while he was out of town.
And finally my stupid teenage self for having no regard for my future happiness or well being.

You all suck.

Wow that's awesome Ben!!! Day 2 no smokes. I know how brutal the withdrawal of nicotine can be. While I used patches. I cheaply bought the generic one time and it doesn't hold it's adhesive anyway it wound up being stuck to my clothing rather then my skin. And lets just say I almost put the convenience store employee in a choke hold for whistling while ringing me up!

You're doing great keep at it!!!! If you're home alone screaming as loud as you can until your tired helps
