I had never really 'gardened' before, but I got a 4'x8' bed and just planted all sorts of stuff, the people at nurseries are super helpful! We planted basil, oregano, thyme, jalapenos, poblano peppers, cauliflower, beets, brussels sprouts, cucumbers, zucchini, arugula, heirloom tomatoes, corn, sunflowers, and cantaloupe.
Otherwise, I really got into reading, movies, working out, walking outdoors, hiking, yoga, meditation (ha.. my fingers automatically typed medication there.). Course shortly after I quit drinking I got pregnant and had a baby, so that (now 4.5 year old) kept me pretty busy too.

I got into loom knitting last time I got sober.. It was easy, fun and relaxing and I made a lot of scarves and hats.. I also picked up my guitar more, music is a great release.. Painting is another one I really like to do... Just fun to make things in general.. I got into beads and making jewelry too.. And I second the gardening thing, I love tending to my little plants..

Reading & writing have always been my "hobbies" and so now I'm just doing them more often, more consistently. My husband and I like to take the kayaks to the lake, hike and walk around the different parks here. Also, biking. Would really like to sink some $ into a nicer bike.

Knitting intrigues me. Not sure I really have the patience for it though, or the time to fit it in. Guess I'll stick with writing. But making scarves and hats and sweaters... sounds nice Might be a nice diversion from other things.
