A shot of zquil and a warm cup of tea to send me off counting sheep tonight.

We lost a member of our home group tonight, a frail man who had liver failure. He left this place sober, fighting the great fight we all are doing. I commend him for not giving up and drinking himself in his final days.

Sobriety is treating me well, I feel good. 18 days and nights and a lot of souls searching and reaching out. Calmness overcomes me. Playful with people around me, still smiling, laughing with my kids and husband today. Life is good.
