Drinking untill I passed out brought me inner peace , saddly the consequences of drinking in such a way ( hangovers and health problems is not worth that peace ) also sobriety + hard work and acountability also give me peace , I'm try option 2 again

I recently relapsed thinking that I could drink to hide my pain. But am realizing I am just switching from one drug to another. I finally went to a meeting today but there were only 2 other females both new to recovery. I need positive guidance in my life. I am going thru so much and it is overwhelming. I am not used to being faced with these emotions.

Hey last, IMO I think you need to hit a couple more meetings. I tried multiple different meetings until I found my sponsor. And I love love love her!!!! She is amazing. Finding anyone to help you thru your hard times is important. I would suggest getting into the program a bit and then finding a sponsor. We are always here, so stuck around and if you have questions about aa, you can always check out the alcoholism 12 step support threads

I agree with hitting more meetings to find a sponsor, I went to 30 days worth to find mine. What part of Florida?

Not making any excuses but my work schedule is crazy so I can't go to as many meetings as I would like. I've been going thru it these past couple weeks and more so the past couple days. I was at my breaking point when I stumbled across SR.
I'm in central fl.
