I would like to say hello to you all.
I m from Greece, and I ve been drinking on and off for 15 years now
I cannot say that I drink every day but when I decide to drink I just don t stop
I m trying to make a difference for my life and maybe start over in a new direction.
thank you for reading

Welcome to SR Apo!
You will find support here.
As many of us, it's sometimes not how often we drink, it's what it does to us and the problems it bring in our life's that's the issue.
Glad you found us, you are making steps in the right dire tion.

Apo I've been in your shoes, yet still am. I've been in AA for 11 months. I go on here to post a lot of questions yet still offer information to newcomers.
Truth is this program changed my life and I've been impressed by it by the core. No dues or commitments, no dogma, avoids controversy, donations only from within, the list goes on. That's my two cents about what's helped me.
Your deserve a lot of credit for reaching out. I recall I would drink like a normal person 90% of the time. That other 10% would lead to multiple-day binges. I lost a girlfriend, 3 jobs within 3 months, 2 jobs prior to that, family began to lose faith, lost some friends too. I began reaching out on here. The more I did, the more hopeful I felt.
Let us know how it goes--people like us that deal with the same issues are more genuine than anyone else because they've been through it and know how bad it REALLY is.
We are in your corner!!!
Andy
