Back to day 1

Well, I had some stress, wound up getting drunk for over a week.

To make matters worse, I have to detox again. My whole body hurts. I'm coming off a really bad cold.

I went and seen my doctor, and he gave me more detox pills and said that I did excellent, but it was time to put the bottle down again.

From January 11th this year till last night, I drank for roughly 12 days. None of these except the past week were consecutive besides one other time which was 2 consecutive days. I'm going to have a rough night tonight, but it is necessary.

Good decision.

Use the hell of detox to help keep you sober. I know I never want to go through that ever again. Thankfully, I don't have to.

I'm glad you talked to your dr and that you're back and working on your recovery.

It sounds like it might help you to accept that drinking is no longer an option. If you are drinking occasionally, then your mind will not find new ways to deal with life. You'll be attempting to put a bandaid on the wound, but you won't be healing the wound.

I hope you get through the night alright and know for sure, that you can do this.

Welcome back Justin. Hope you can find a plan that works for you this time around. Last time you were here you had a pretty good plan, do you think the plan itself was flawed or did you simply not follow through? No shame if it's the latter, just hoping to help you realize for yourself how to move forward.

Yeah I didn't follow through with it. Made a rule to not be around booze, and didn't leave when I should have.

It took me almost two years before I finally "got it". I hope it doesn't take you that long.
