Medium term withdrawal symptoms
Hi,
Quick question. Do normal people have the symptoms alcoholics get when they quit alcohol?
I am on day 74 and I have chronic tiredness, mood swings etc etc. would a normal person have this at the same time?
Just kinda curious.

Hi Finnie
I have no idea how to answer about normal drinkers as I'm not one.
I can tell you it took me about 3 months before I started feeling 'normal'.
It could be that you're like me - some of us simply take longer to recover.
I'm not a Dr but PAWs is always a possibility too - check out the link and see if it rings any bells...

PAWS is a very real thing. It bothered me most of my first year, the mood swings, inability to concentrate, poor memory. But it went away and now I'm back to normal functioning.

Yeah it takes a while. I realized I was in a constant state of withdrawal for years, having never made it more than a month in that time Never an everyday drinker, I was a binge drinker for 5 hard years, then slowly spaced it out the last 5. drink a six pack, and it would reignite insane anxiousness, anger, antisocial behaviour. It started to go away after 2 months. Now at 95 days, it's been going away slowly.
You might have sugar issues as I do. eat healthy. smaller meals. don't binge eat carbs. Keep going.
