Alcohol and numbness?

Hello, I'm new here, I've been suffering from back pain for the last 5 years and drinking became my main pain killer. My back feel much better and I don't drink a lot anymore but I noticed that the day after I drink, no matter if it's a lot or not, my hands and forearms feel numb. I've never been diagnosed of diabetes before but I think that this seem like a good reason to see a doctor.

Do you guys have any clue about this? Which kind of doctor should I see?

See your GP. It could be a lot of things and we're not supposed to give medical advice here. If you search for you symptoms here I'm sure you'll see a lot of folks that have had similar. Good luck and welcome!

talk to your doctor for sure, ive been going through the same stuff for weeks now 21 days sober. Slept last night I went and got some Benadryl for itchy skin crawls and sleep.

Thank you guys, I actually went to see a gastroenterologist last week, did some exams on friday which results will come tomorrow (blood, urine and abdominal echotomography). Last night numbness was gone, so I forgot and had 2 fingers of rhum and this morning the numbness was back.
Now I think I should see a neurologist.

Welcome to SR! Please see a doctor about this. It could be related to alcohol but it's best to see a doctor to find out for sure.
