Tools for maintaining happiness

Has anyone heard the saying "You cannot prevent the birds of sadness from passing over your head, but you can prevent them from nesting in your hair"

We all find ourselves down in the dumps occasionally as I am now unfortunately.. What are some things you all do to 'prevent the birds of sadness from nesting on your head' so to speak haha..

One thing for me is regular time in nature..just being out doors

I'm so low right now though, literally in the pits of despair, mostly I suspect for falling off the wagon last night.. Any suggestions on ways to pull yourself out a really bad funk?

Personally, always pray first & foremost. Then call network coz if wallow in self pity, twont be long before voices in head will be saying to do things that will add to already long regrets list. Whether I get answered needed or not, get to next mtg ASAP

Go to bed, get a good night of sleep, and tomorrow keep yourself busy. Don't allow yourself time to ruminate. When you don't know what to do, do anything! Tomorrow is a new day. Get at it!
