One 5 day prescription of Valium for safe detox: Check
The doctor said to take them as needed. Like If things get weird, or I feel to shaky/ anxious. She said my B1 Vitamin is also good.

Now I need a stock pile of mineral water, juice, herbal tea and I'm on my way to a great start.

Pat..something that happened to me when I detoxed was a really really bad headache quickly, I was in a facility and probably waited too long to tell someone. I didn't know it was an indicator of my blood pressure spiking, when I was administered Librium it went away. Not medical advice, just make sure you are your own advocate and call your doc if ANY issues come up.

Day2 / 48 hours mark: check

Only symptoms: sweating last night. Total body flush not be to too explicit or gross. LOL!

Appetite is good, no shakes, no a anxiety or heart palpitation.
I only took one Valium for bed last night and 1/4 a fee minutes ago.

All good and smooth sailing. Movie night with my little one. Popcorn time!

Hi everyone,

Just thought I would give a quick update. Plan is working. I had a few bumps here and there but I'm sober and really happy about it.

The outpatient program I'm in is free, they are also short staffed so it's taking a bit of time. (The Impatient Alcoholic of me talking) I want it now!!! boo hoo!

Information Session: Checked
Getting Sober/HomeDetox with Doctors recommendation: Checked
(Ouch!! if I might add. LOL)
Evaluation with Specialist / File created: Checked
First one on one Therapist appointment April 13: Checked

Can't wait! I'm happy I am sober, it will save him some work as I have a head start. I guess we will make a plan for group support meetings, talk about why I'm an Alcoholic, childhood background. Why I'm so crazy. LOL!

I don’t know... but... I AM the Sober ThePatman! The sauce is really depressing stuff. I have ups and downs, but nearly as bad as on the Booze.

Voila, For newcomers, make a plan, it really does work. You feel committed to follow through with your plan and that's important I think.

Take care everyone

Update 2.1.3 ;-(

I have my outpatient first meeting tomorrow: checked
Slipped last night: checked, and did a wonderful Alcoholic job.
Sick and tired of this: checked

Free outpatient program too slow: checked

Changing, plans if outpatient is not involving weekly meetings. I have time and want to invest in my sobriety.

Need more help: checked, considering AA big time

Pounding myself: unchecked, I will dig out and make it!!

Of course you'll dig out & make it. I'm sorry for the frustration you must be feeling - but it's all leading somewhere good. You have to believe that. Keep charging ahead ThePatman - you can do this.

Hey Pat!! Don't worry about it!!

AA might fill that gap of needing more support, keep going at it and you'll get there!!

I want it so bad I can taste it. I just need to add to my plan.

To be honest, you guys are my lifeline. I am not the dramatic type, but must admit that i have been crying, the famous depressing feeling of of an encounter with Booze.

And the only feeling that get's me going and get up, weird I know.
