I look WORSE
I look WORSE
Hey all, well im back AGAIN! ( This is so embarrassing, I feel so embarrassed posting here stating im trying to quit AGAIN )
Im on day 3 and what I have noticed is that I look WORSE than 3 days ago when I was drinking. Whats up with that? Will I look better soon?
Just look rough with darkness under my eyes, I look like ive been dragged through a hedge backwards by a crazed gorilla!

Welcome back, Chilled)
I bet the name of the crazed gorilla who dragged you through a hedge backwards, was alcohol. And it is hiding somewhere now pointing finger at sobriety and blaming it for the dark circles under your eyes.
I believe, a lot of us have been there - "smoking hot" when drinking, and "hell, now way it could be me in the mirror" next day.
Don't worry, you'll be fine if you just give sobriety a chance to make it work.
Any ideas what to change to keep gorilla locked up in the cage this time?
Best wishes to you)

Well I have been doing 2 days on and one day off because I felt I couldn't totally stop, problem is on the day I do drink I GO FOR IT so I thought this time around id actually try and make it through entirely without drinking. I don't know HOW im goona keep that damned gorilla locked up. I have tried so many times, AA meetings, etc I might head down to victory outreach local church of mine and see if they can help.

Good job, Chilled!
Hang in here tonight - SR was my sobriety saver in early sobriety. When cravings used to hit me hard I read and posted here - it helped a lot.
Stay strong)

Thanks so much for the words of encouragement Im just drinking loads of water, stuffing my face full of Chinese food ( I can lose weight later ) and watching a film an HOPEFULLY I can get a good 8 hours sleep tonight
I looked worse at first, I bet it was just cos I could actually see myself! They don't call em beer goggles for nothing In time though I had a lot of people comment on how well I looked. I didn't feel it necessarily but the improvements do start happening before you realise it x
