Three long weeks.....

Three weeks. Phew! This has not been a fun ride. I can't even believe I made it this far. Sometimes I fall into the "why bother being sober" trap. It is a struggle, especially the past four days. It's hard to remember sometimes, crappy things happen to A's and non A's. Not every little thing wrong is because I don't have a drink in my hand. So today I won't drink. Can't promise you a sober tomorrow. Thanks all!!

You're doing a GREAT Job!

Now go do something nice for yourself!
Go get your hair done, or go get a manicure, or a massage, or buy yourself a new pair shoes or all of the above.

I do all the time. It's wonderful therapy.

You got this. Life can be a rocky road and feeling big emotions is tough, no doubt about it. Feel it, then move on and distract yourself with something great.

Keep up the good work Raider--it just takes one day at a time and plenty of ice cream

3 weeks is awesome, Raider! One day at a time, for sure. I'm no heavy veteran of sobriety, but I really remember praying for focusing on patience during my first few weeks. I even had a little patience mantra I'd think to myself as I was starting each day.

Keep on going. Though its difficult now staying sober beats having to sober up again.
