When I joined SR I felt terribly ashamed and full of shame about being an alcoholic. Now I don't feel shame much. I think just knowing I am not alone has helped that. I guess when I get to the 4th AA step I might feel terrible shame again but I hope not.

I really just want to thank all of you for your support. It means the world to me.

You're right, you might feel some shame when you are focusing on making amends, but you know now that you can just calmly sit with it, and let it go.
