took me the better part of ten years worth of attempts to quit smoking. I found it harder to knock than cocaine. Literally.

I'm so glad to be smoke free.... and sober.

Congrats on 25 days and 1 day! Get to the gym, go for a walk, do something physical and notice the fresh and joyous feeling of oxygen untainted by tar and chemicals and drugs.

You can do it!

Stay busy and the cravings will pass in a few days, I found the cravings for alcohol at the same level as the nicotine cravings. I read the book by Allen Carr, the easy way to stop smoking. Excellent book to rewire your brain for good.

Those physical cravings should pass within 48-72 hours

Cigs were much harder than booze and benzos to quit for me. 30+ real attempts total. Don't give up

I quit smoking 15 years ago, it took many failed attempts before I was finally able to do it!

One thing that helped me was going to acupuncture, well maybe it was also after I spent all the money on acupuncture treatments I felt it would be stupid to start again. he he he. good luck!

You know when your no longer addicted to nicotine and cigarettes, when you can smell how bad your old clothes smell. I found stopping smoker far harding than stopping drinking.

Same here. I quit smoking August 16, 2011 cold turkey. I joined a smoking cessation forum at about.com. You can never, ever take a puff of a cigarette once you quit, otherwise, you'll be a smoker again immediately. Check out the forum at about.com.

Awesome! You will start to feel better and better as your circulation improves. Food and smells will return. I smoked for over 20 years, no regrets on quitting. It really abused my lungs. I still think about a smoke here and there, but I redirect my mind and its forgotten.
Keep up the good work!!
