Sobriety Getting Much more Manageable
So, I guess in an hour and a half, I'll be sober officially for seven days!
Very exciting. What's more exciting is how I feel. It's so great to not wake up all sticky and covered in sweat and breath reeking like alcohol.
And I can actually get a workout in in the mornings without being too hungover.
I only need one cup of coffee in the morning instead of three just to get my eyes open enough to drive.

justin, your joy and optimism just brought a much needed smile to my face, and it's contagious. Thank you for reminding me of the little things we sometimes take for granted after being sober a while. Can't ever forget those horrible hangover mornings, that drug on through half the day, or all day....NOT missing that at all!
Congrats on 7 days, and best wishes on your personal sober journey, it's soo worth it!
Peace,

I feel the same way every time I quit, which may be why I'm having such a hard time. Right now my work schedule is so screwed up that I work 4 (10 hour) days, Sunday thru Wednesday, get off work at 10, which is when most people are wrapping things up for the night, go to work at noon the next day, so don't do much in the morning before work. The first 4 days of the week are a blur, then I have 3 whole days off and usually don't get much accomplished then either. Battling depression also, and I know the alcohol is not good for it, but it helps for the short term.
That's great! Those mornings should never be missed! Those mornings were awful and trying to get through the day, even worse. I'm glad you found SR and are sober. I never thought there were others like me. I hope I can get past this first week! Keep it up , you're doing great
