Waking up sober makes me proud. It's a great feeling to open my eyes and have the whole day ahead of me that I can physically and mentally enjoy. I don't want to ever give back any of my days. My days are mine and I'm keeping them!

It's one if my favorite things about sobriety. It changes your whole perspective on the day ahead.

If you mean today, the sobriety part is great.
Otherwise it feels like I fell apart and a blind guy tried to put me back together...

(Started working out).
All Good!

Feels great, not waking up shaking, sweating, high anxiety, waiting for the liquor stores to open up. It's been so long, it actually feels strange not going through that. It was starting to feel normal if that makes sense.

Passing out isn't true sleep and I always dreaded how I would feel in the morning. Over 30 days of good sleep have really helped me stay sober.

Being able to just hop out of bed and face the day is so great. I also love being 100% present for my son when before I was just trying to keep him from fussing while I nursed a nasty hangover. Now we play while I eat oatmeal. Soooo much more peaceful!

Its close to how it was waking up as a child. Bright-eyed and looking forward to the day.

My morning cup of coffee smells and tastes even better. Sunshine is now welcome and no longer irritating and "so bright." I wake up pumped I made it through another night sober. I vow to make today another sober day. One day at a time.

waking up, feeling my body alive.... not sluggish or pained or dull.

Being Aware, steady, reaching for things without fumbling... walking, without stumbling.

Seeing the sunrise and feeling the gratitude it brings.

Having coffee for enjoyment - not in hope of relief.

Remembering the night before.

Sitting quietly and reading - because I've got plenty of time and am not in a panic.

Feeling gladness, not dread.

Thankful to be Alive!!! Not wishing I were dead.

Smiling..... smiling..... SMILING.
