Another 24
Another 24 has come and go and I am thankful that I'm still sober! It has been 40 days since I've started this new Journey. I have to be honest I never thought that being sober could be so good. I am now sleeping at night, tending family functions and seeing whats going on, meeting a lot of new friends (true friends) in treatment and AA and this site. The list goes on and on.
Every day things get a little better and I see that my higher power is truly there for me and is guiding me down the right path of my journey. I know he can't make me stay sober but he is certainly showing me that life is better being sober.
My only downfall to being sober is that I have a lot of regrets, ashamed of a lot of what I have done as well as a lot of guilt. I also am having a big problem in forgiving myself for my wrong. But I know with time and working the steps it will only get better.

That is what I hope for. Living sober. Did you have withdrawels very bad?

One day at a time. Even today and every day I go one day at a time.
I did have withdraws. I surrounded myself with family and AA meetings and they got me through it. Today when I start to think I need to go to a meeting is when I need to get to meeting.
