Welcome Hawk, glad you found us. We can do this, one day at a time. It is working for a lot of people.

Hi Hawk, I relate to a lot of what you've said. I've taken the ... a few years longer, 39 and am just trying to get sober.

Do it now, if you can!

Well I relapsed last night...What a horrible existence I feel today after that. I'm sitting here at work, somehow by the grace of God I managed to keep my job, but wow! I don't know how I'm going to make it through today. My body hates me

I tried to quit ten thousand times without AA. I quit with AA. You can, too. Welcome to the world of the living. Life will be so much better sober. It seems like it couldn't be until it is and then you go to bed at night thanking your Higher Power for keeping you sober another day. Go check out a meeting. Just sit and listen. No pressure. Talk to people afterwards, or not. One day at a time.

You can start over. I'm doing it today.

Together we'll find the way.

Hawk07 it is as if you have described my life in a way I have yet to admit to myself. I wish you the best on this journey.

Hey Kris!
I'm still holding on to day 2 and feeling much better than I did yesterday.. anxiety is still there and cravings are creeping up but luckily no alcohol is around.. Just munching on lotsa snacks and drinking tea and juice. Hanging out on SR and reading books (game of thrones) I'll be on throughout the night and tomorrow morning.. we can do this!
