Hey James, don't worry, the most important day to focus on is TODAY, be sober TODAY, go to bed and wake up fresh, tomorrow you can then focus on another TODAY!!

You can do it!!

Hi Scott, No I didn't. I kind of got lost in the run up to xmas stuff. I'm going to the doctor's Monday though and telling her I'm planning to stop drinking and see what help I can get. I have tried a few small things that have at least made me not binge as much, which for the most part have been successful. Yesterday was the first time I really overdid it in a while.

That sounds like an excellent plan to see your doctor, make sure you are 100% up front about everything related to your drinking - and don't worry because they have heard it all.

We always end up back at our worst too- i know I did. I tried so many times to "cut back" or drink on certain days of the week, times of the day, whatever else - but in the end all of those things are merely moderation - which is impossible for an alcoholic. I wish you the best in finding a plan, because life is better without alcohol for an alcoholic.
