Hi Lauren, I'm the same age and my background with drinking pretty much matches yours. I had my last drink on 2nd January, and its been quite a rollercoaster so far. Hang in there ,you'll have many people here who want you to succeed.

Welcome!

It seemed very weird at first - trying to do things as simple as watch TV without drinking. I think this is very common among alcoholics. I had to relearn how to have fun -and how to do everything - even cleaning! - without booze. At first I felt like nothing was fun, but that lifted and now I don't crave alcohol anymore and I actually enjoy myself without it. Day 3 was always very hard for me whenever I tried to quit, so good for you for being here!
