5 years!!
What's really great about your story is that your son never had to go through any throes of relapse you would have suffered. Looks like he was born a year into your sobriety. He gets to know one mother, a happy and stable mother.
FYI, this isn't a dig on parents here who have relapsed or used with their kids around. Just pointing out one aspect of Flutter's story.

Flutter, as Maynard G Krebs used to say [in Dobie Gillis for you young things :-)]:
'I think I'm gettin' all misty'. And I AM. People like you who tell us about reaching a few years seem like gods, you know, like 'I can never reach THAT height'...That's when I'm feeling dispirited. But I try to remember, even in the darkness: 'yea, verily, I CAN reach that.' Otherwise, we'd all give up and go home and SR would fade into being just another archived inactive website.
Many more blessings to you Flutter - and I bet you're looking forward to Chrissy morning with your little 4 y.o. It's the BEST age, I reckon. xx Vic
