It happens. I ride it out as best as I can, or I attempt to busy my mind with something. That's not always easy to do, but usually I can at least keep my mind occupied by watching TV or a movie. It doesn't necessarily put me in an upbeat mood, but it does keep me from dwelling on my melancholy.

I hope you feel a little better soon. If it persists, I suggest seeing a doctor.

The first few weeks are always rough. Try not to dwell on it. Finding enjoyable activities to take up the time formerly spent drinking is harder than it sounds, but you gotta do it. Hang tough! You can do this.
