92 Days Today
92 Days Today
Midnight Thursday was my 90 day mark. At Midnight tonight, I will have 92 days. I'm feeling good; I have no cravings or urges to drink. However, I still have work to do; I have more lifestyle changes to make.
For those of you who are still struggling I urge you to not give up. Fight with every fiber of your being. Whatever your past, you deserve to be sober and happy. If you slip, pick yourself up and commit again, eventually you will make it. It's hard in the beginning, I know, but for me at least, staying sober became easier as each day passed.
Thanks to everyone on this site for your support and encouragement. Posting and reading here has helped me immensely. The collective wisdom on this site is enormous.

I was a person who often worried about the future instead of dealing with today. I've learned over the years that it can be detrimental to spend too much time thinking about the road ahead. The future will come, and I figure I'll deal with it when it arrives.

I also recently passed the 90 days mark and have not been able to pass that in maybe 12 years. I also have to be on a strict diet and it is funny but I seem to crave different foods more than drinking. Congrats with your 92 days.
Well done Jkb. I also have to use a fairly strict diet and it's damn tough. Like you I end up craving certain foods more than alcohol. That's one of the issues I plan on addressing over the next couple of months.

Dieting
On other occasion when I have stopped drinking I did not diet the same way as now. I think eating the wrong things can easily lead to drinking again. So I am hoping the dieting helps make the difference this time.
