Checking in..recovery is AMAZING
Hey all! I haven't been on here in a little bit and missed everyone! I hope this finds you well and/or on your way to getting well I have been really busy but it's all GREAT stuff! I sponser people now (I am in AA) and have been taking my running to a whole nother level. I quit smoking 2 months ago (WHAT?! AM I TALKING ABOUT ME?! LOL) and that has really helped me further my progress. For example, I did 7 miles in a little over an hour today! Not bad for an ex daily smoker and drinker huh?
If you are just starting out or thinking about giving up, please DON'T. The gifts of sobriety are so amazing. We are special people who have another chance at life...the sky is the limit, the world is your oyster...whatever floats your boat haha but just hang in. I am more than grateful that I have come this far from where I was and that I have the willingness to continue. Life's starting to really happen for me. I always hoped it would and now it's here. Feeling really blessed. SO many of you have helped me on this journey and I know you will continue doing so...forever in debt but it's a good one to owe
