Stay sober but be aware of a delayed reaction. I have seen many make it through the event only to crumble a few days latter. I believe the only thing I have to do is to stay sober. Every thing else is optional. It may not be easy but it is optional.
I do know I could not have stayed sober in your situation but I am not you. Do you have any friends in recovery you could bring?

I know that you're referring to friends in the physical sense but we'll all be there in his pocket. I carry you guys with me wherever I go.
