Hang in there, I'm back to day 1. It's strange to feel so exhausted but restless. This time I have to fight through this.

I'm having the same problem, but I've been sober for awhile. I'm averaging 2-3 hours a night, and it shows I get tired, drop off and within an hour am wide awake. I've cut caffeine, eating at night, tried sleepytime, even unisom. Nothing is helping. Any suggestions?

Congrats on day two! The sleeping will get better, you just need to give yourself some time.

Hi alethia, welcome. Great job on day 2. I had insomnia early on too. It gets better. You are doing great. I had hard physical exercise as much as possible the first couple weeks. Gave me something to do with the nervous energy. The sweat is really great to speed the toxins out of you. And lots of water too. After a few days, I bet you will sleep better. Also eat a banana, it helps for legcramps I believe.

Time and exercise help with the insomnia. It's nothing to worry about, just your body and brain re-setting.

welcome alethia
It's very normal to have sleeping problems initially...I hope your sleep cycle will settle in soon

The insomnia took quite a few days to pass for me but I'm almost two weeks now and my problem is staying awake!

The usual stuff like exercise, avoiding caffeine, listening to radio in bed made things a little better for me. We put our bodies through turmoil when we quit and it takes a while for things to 'get back to normal'.

Hope you manage some sleep soon

Hi Alethia,

You and I are at the very same place. Ive not had a wink in 2 days.
It's strange, Ive never been awake so long ever.
I just feel wired and tired at the same time.

Day 47 and I still have insomnia--I have tried everything too. It really gets frustrating!
