I am $48 richer today!

It's day 4 for me and I am $48 richer! Wow! That was a lot of money wasted on wine in only 4 days!

Today was a good day for more great reasons:

-I slept through the night. I didn't even want to wake up at 8am lol Best sleep I had in ages.

-I had my first real meal after being on tea and toasts for 3 days...today I had a cheeseburger...not really my favourite meal but I managed to eat like a "normal" person and that's good!

-My husband was annoying me...and I didn't snap at him, I took a deep breath and ended up laughing (He's a great man, but anybody that's been married for 12 years would agree that spouses are annoying sometimes! lol)

-My cravings only lasted from 2pm to 5pm...the rest of the time it was just a faint thought

-No panic feeling at all today

-Is it me or my hair feels softer?

So...I survived 4 days sober...my first weekend sober...and I owe it to you guys! Thank you so much for saving my life!

Patricia

Hi patricia...I know what you mean about the money. We spent a fraction of what we normally spend in a weekend. It will add up quick. Took a walk with my daughter and granddaughter and it scares me how close I was to losing them. Congrats on your sober weekend..!!

Great post Patricia!

Everything benefits! Your skin will feel a lot softer too. I've actually noticed fine lines disappearing. No more dehydration from the alcohol!

Definitely helps with husband annoyance too!

You'll find that things that would have set you off before you'll just say "meh" too.

Congrats on Day 4, you've got this!

That was the perfect post to close out my sober weekend Well done!

I can relate with so many of those things (except the hair... my hairline is receding so I don't really notice anymore and the only person here that could annoy me would be my cat LOL). I didn't even think about the financial side of it but now that I do, I was wasting a ton of money on vodka! Thanks for pointing that out as another benefit of being sober!

I estimate I was spending around $6500 per year on wine. Yowza!

Yep. I've saved about eight grand. Sadly, my daughter needed braces, so that almost puts me back to square one. Lol!
