Hi Tranquilo! Thank you so much for sharing your story. Every time I read one of these it reminds me of why I'm sober. The part of yours that hit me the most was how alcohol robbed you of all the things you used to love. I got to the point of never leaving my house and just coming home and drinking and watching TV. I lost all of my friends and pulled away from family. I'm only about a week sober but already I can feel the drive to do the things I used to love coming back. Keep it going and welcome to the SR community!

Hi Zeldafan, it's so true isn't it, as you become more embroiled in the never ending search for alcohol (although you mind will rationalise your actions) that all they you loved is left behind, hobbies, friends and even families.

Good work on your week sober! Keep it up
