It's funny my A.A. loving sister (also an alcoholic) is over here preaching to my Dad that I need A.A. and/or Rehab like I can't hear her. She was an everyday drinker. I am a binger. I tried A.A. it is not for me. I really feel that sometimes AA brainwashes people. It certainly has her as it seems like she thinks its the ONLY way of life for an alcoholic.
I think we all have our own paths, AA was not my path.
I don't agree with you tho that AA brainwashes people - take a look at the 12 step forum sometime - there are definitely differences of opinion in AA....
I think your sister is worried about you and is just trying to help you from her own experience.
Maybe she's overstepping some boundaries in doing that but I think she's probably coming from a place of love?

I said sometimes and I guess it's a matter of opinion. I understand everything you said Dee and I agree with most of it. I feel like part of it is she's a little pissed cuz she was FORCED into rehab and I havent been though. Anyway I'm just venting.
