Trying again after 10years more drinking :-(
Only day number 3 without a hangover for me but feeling fantastic and making myself breakfast, its a wonderful feeling and I want more and more of it and am grateful to be able to share with others like me....
I feel more positive now I have found this site as I know and can see I am not alone.... .... I know the journey might be rocky but when i doubt I will remember that last terrible drunk and the awful sickness in the body and head that followed it.... life has to be so much better than that ..Thankyou and Have a good day everyone

You made a great decision to come here, Serendipity! There are many, many wise voices in this family. If you listen to them, you won't go far wrong. I'm just coming up to 7 months now and SR has been a major source of information and, above all, inspiration for me

Congratulations with your decision. A day/life without a drug directing our daily path to take is very rewarding. It can be smelling the roses to doing things put off for years, or I’m gonnas. I needed to get honest with myself and also remember when the pain got me to where you are now as I learned I cannot drink in safety again and alcohol hasn’t been my friend for years. It was shown to me that if I didn’t pick up the first drink, no matter what, I didn’t have to get sober AGAIN. Good luck.
