Struggling . . again . . with my job
when I got into recovery, the racing thoughts were on strong and they were something I used alcohol to control. them racing thoughts made it very difficult, making mistakes constantly as I couldn't focus on the job/task at hand.
that's when I talked to my doctor and found about depression. luckily, the 1st antidepressant has worked for me.
maybe you can talk to your doctor about this as it could be a medication issue.

Thanks again everybody. Tom/Steve, I believe the medication is definitely an issue. Although I am on an anti-depressant, I also have extreme anxiety and it really manifests at this job. There are times when I really think I suffer from ADHD (my daughter has it) but I'm not willing to go down that road right now and get on another medication. Especially at my age of 60. I just need to learn how to manage things better and learn to slow down and relax. I've had so many great replies to my original post and am going to practice a lot of what all you wonderful people have suggested.
Today has been a much better day!!!
