Having a good day. / 3 weeks sober

Hi all. I just wanted to inform that there really are good days too in this... I had a bit of a struggle and frozen brain - feeling some week or so back. Today I do feel more balanced and somethings are definately better. On day 23.

I just got my order package from the mail and it's been a sunny day too. Today recovery hasn't been a struggle of any kind, but I have been able to get stuff done and have good ideas. So don't give up, it does get better, as everyone too says. It's true.

Something of note about the withdrawal, it seems to follow a kind of cyclical pattern. A period of PAWS for 2-4 days with varying intensity. During those times memory might be a bit shot. It has helped me to remember that it is part of recovery, and that is all it is.

Have a nice sober day.

Thanks for your replies. As most people here I've tried sobriety many many times, only to fail for some reason. Have to keep at it.

I think there are some kinds of pitstops or milestones in recovery, when you know you are one level up in it. I think here at 3 weeks+ it is one of those. The feeling is different from early recovery and I can more clearly notice how 'insane' my mindset has been in early recovery too compared to now. Thanks all for your supportive replies.
