You don't have to talk at a meeting if you don't want to. You can just sit and listen if you prefer. ( I assume you are talking about AA or a similar program. )

Hey jrod - welcome to SR. This is a great site with incredible support and a plethora of good information/resources. There are a lot of options for staying sober (AVRT, SMART, AA, etc.); stick around and you'll find what works for ya.

I wasn't sure what you meant by "still not 100%" but congrats on the 329 days!

329 days sober, you must be doing something right. Who says you need to go to meetings? I am 358 days sober and I rarely go. You and me, we are doing it our own way and it seems we're doing just fine. Stay on the path that works for you! I'll do the same. Keep up the good fight.

That first year has many ups and downs, but I think you will be okay. Just focus on making changes, growing, and challenging yourself each and every day. You have to constantly challenge yourself for you to gain the most out of sobriety. Its more than just not drinking, you need to change your core. What can you do tomorrow that makes you uncomfortable? Something you could never do when alcohol was the main focus in your life? Go out and do it, you will be thrilled with how you fee l afterwards. Do this as much as possible and watch what happens. God bless

They dont have to be big challenges like sky diving or rock climbing, but something small you can do each day.

If you are struggling try AA. What can it hurt?

329 days! Wow! I can't wait until I get to that point!
I'll never go to a meeting; I hate meetings of any sort.
I don't even have staff meetings, but my employees
probably love me for it. lol

Doesn't matter what road, trail, path you take, as long
as our destination is the same. Just because most folks
take the freeway doesn't mean that you can't pave your
own road.

I'm hiking through the forest with a compass.
