Bloody love this sleeping malarkey :)

day 16 sober! although my temper has taken quite a battering i am feeling the good effects. i can sleep properly again. sleeping through the night without waking up every 45 mins and having multiple nightmares. i must admit i used to think that alcohol used to make me sleep better when all these years ALCOHOL was the cause of my sleeping problems.

just thought id share that with you guys

I think it's great too.

I always thought I could not sleep without a drink. That was my excuse to pour as much drink down my neck.

Without drink, I sleep so much better.
In the early days I would sleep for hours and hours.
It was like my duvet had some magnetic hold on me!.

I still love my sleep now.

Hope your good sleep continues too.

Happy dreams!

Ah yes... I thought that too initially then I realized alcohol was helping me pass out but not giving me quality sleep. It will only get better.

BING!

I could have written this part myself. I was utterly convinced I needed alcohol to feel rested. It turned out to be absolutely WRONG.

Congrats on 16 days!

For me, restful, restorative sleep is one of the most precious gifts of sobriety.

When I was drinking, sleep was a literal nightmare.

Congrats on 16 days!!!

Here's what you have to look forward to: naps. Oh yes, glorious mid-afternoon naps after a busy and productive morning. Not a lack of sleep from the previous night hangover kind of nap. But a "I've worked damn hard and now I'm going to kick my feet up for an hour or two" fabulous kind of nap. I'm personally of the opinion that a well-deserved nap is one of the great pleasures of life.

All the best and congrats on your new sleeping habits
