3.5 years sober today!!
Three and a half years ago I didn't think I could stay sober. I'd had so many failures and was ready to give up. But thanks to the good people here and my counselor I gave it one more try - and am sober to this day.
To the newcomers; it's possible to get and stay sober but you've got to want to stay sober more than you want to drink. I finally got to that point of desperation and now am living happily sober.
I have no desire to drink anymore. The only time drinking crosses my mind is when I feel glad I don't do it anymore.
Give it your all and don't give up. Living sober is possible and wonderful.
Thank you SR!
