Anyone else here work in law enforcement or a similar capacity? I work in criminal prosecution and child protective services, so I deal with a lot of traumatic messed up situations in my work. I am not a first responder, but dealing with the aftermath of crime is still difficult, and it really gets to me sometimes. I know there are AA groups specific to people in this type of work, and I am wondering if we could have a similar group on here. Or if one already exists on here, maybe Dee or somebody can direct me to it. Thanks and all the best!

I would be interested. I work in law enforcement as well. It can be very stressful and promotes an atmosphere of drinking. I think a forum for the uniqueness of what we deal with would be great. Keep me posted.

Me too, since I have been sober the job has gotten a lot better, funny that.
