Starting the climb
Well, here we are, at SR finally. It has taken me a long time to finally come here and eventually post. I am currently drinking (crappy cheap beer) as usual and by tomorrow will not drink anymore. The plan was that I drink these final beers slow and tomorrow comes the first day of stopping... I've done this before and the beginning always sucks a bit, well, maybe not always.
I am trying to be realistic about my goals in sobriety. I want full sobriety but somehow there is always some excuse to drink or do that alcostuff... I don't much know anymore if I can trust myself.

You're right - there is always some excuse or some reason to keep drinking - I had to really want to sober above everything else UnixBer.
If I can resist all the reasons and excuse and temptations, you can too - there's a lot of support here
