Moving to Boston & plugging in
Moving to Boston & plugging in
Hi All,
I'm moving to Boston (Brighton, MA) at the end of June. I'll remain in Boston until mid-July and then I'll be returning to where I live now for a period of about a month before I make the permanent move to Boston.
My point is that I want to plug into the recovery community in Boston. I'm a member of IDAA, am sponsored by another member of IDAA with 20+ years and a sponsorship "tree" that goes back to Bob and Bill. I'm on day 30 and halfway done with my 4th step as of today. I've been going to AA for about 1.5 years.
I am hoping to generate some contacts here so I'm not arriving in Boston without a safety net and can instead find meetings and AA and non-AA recovery service work to participate in (volunteering, i.e. meeting newcomers and making coffee).
If any men in the Boston/Brighton area would be willing to guide me to quality AA meetings and sobriety, I would be very grateful!
