One Day At A Time
New to this Forum and am interested in connecting with like-minded individuals.I am a Recovering Alcoholic. It's part of my Make Up but it's not the whole Person.Sometimes meeting another Friend on the same wavelength can bring a Fresh Perspective....Look forward to checking it out
Testimony is such a powerful tool in our weapon against alcohol dependency and alcoholism. It is good to share and if we are going to succeed then it is a necessity. AA has proved that. I have met so many good people in recovery. i would go so far as to say I have met far more nice people in recovery than I have out there amongst the so called normal people (many of whom are alcohol dependent and in denial).
Come an chat and share your stories with others. I am 18 month sober. my life is totally turned around and I am happier than I have been in decades!! I get so upset now when I see that demon destroying people around me like it destroyed me so anything I can do to help get people to the place where I am... I will try and do.

I think it's definitely part of our make up but it's just one facet. Since getting sober, I realize I was born an alcoholic, but I haven't always been a drunk. It is now possible to get back to the people we were before the booze took hold.
