Hi everyone,

I hope this finds you well. After looking for a time I finally joined. The loving support and gentle guidance I've seen here is touching, and I hope to be able to give and receive the same.

I had technical problems trying to begin a new thread twice now, and have been up most of the night stressed out, so this will be brief at this point lol.

I just wanted to introduce myself and say hello, and wish you all well.

A quick overview about me, I am married less than half a year. My husband is an alcoholic. We dated as teens, reunited in our thirties, and married. I fear I have rushed into something and am in way over my head. I'm not perfect, nor is he the devil himself, but a certain soul-killing pain is washing over me. I'm glad to have found a place like this to talk and respond to.

I'd love to hear some of your stories, get to know you all.

Off to bed for me for now... I'm exhausted!

I will check out the link you provided. I had initially tried posting in the "friends and family" place but for some reason kept having technical problems, telling me I was not logged in even though in the upper right of the page said I was. Oh well!

Probably more appropriate for me to post over there. I will give it another try.

I did end up posting under "friends and family" in "thought I'd introduce myself".

I'm so glad I found this forum. I already know it will be a tremendously valuable resource for me. And I hope to uplift others as well.

Sometimes it just gets so hard, and I don't talk to anyone. No one knows.

So, this is a wonderful place. Thank you for the work you do here. May you be repaid in kind a million times over, a place like this is all some people have, and bless those who look over it.
